The VigorCam is ideal for security and fun purposes alike ! She what's happening in another area of your office, watch your baby sleeping, children playing in the garden or visit a Web Café and make sure the gardener at home has mown the lawn ! The Vigorcam has a wide-angle ('fish eye') lens in order to capture a wide field of vision. You require the Vigor2200USB router to use the VigorCam; Each item is supplied separately. The camera base can stand on its own, or if you prefer, it has a self adhesive pad, or it can be screwed to a suitable surface. The VigorCam plugs into one of the router's USB ports and will then make still images available to local users on the LAN, or to anyone elsewhere on the Internet. The image is continuously updated (approx every 5 seconds) and can be viewed in two different sizes. The Vigor2200USB can use an ADSL connection via a connected ADSL modem (as pictured) or provide the pictures to some other remote subnet, via Internet connectivity elsewhere on your Ethernet LAN (e.g. cable modem router, leased line etc. ) When someone wants to view the picture, they just enter the router's IP address into their web browser; a window will pop up with the current picture and that screen is refreshed every second, 5 seconds or 30 seconds (selectable).
